Blog 12: Holiday Project Update
1. It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school. What did you do over the break with your senior project?
During break I was able to get some mentoring done with a new mentor that I recently got. This new mentor works closer to where I live which will be easier for me. During the mentorship I was able to shadow and see all the steps loan officers have to complete for a loan to process. During the break I also researched information on loan officers and how they can successfully do their job and promote themselves.
2. What was the most important thing you learned from what you did, and why? What was the source of what you learned?
The most important thing I learned was from the research that I found on loan officers. I learned that you need to be able to give good services by not complicating the loan process for your client. If going through the loan becomes too confusing it could possibly scare the client from taking out the loan or could get them irritated and may gives you a bad reputation
3. Your third interview will be a 10 question interview related to possible answers for your EQ. Who do you plan to talk to and why?
I plan to talk to my additional mentor for my third interview. I plan to do this because they work in the Loan Officer industry and are knowledgeable on what it takes to successfully complete loans as well as providing good service for their clients.
