Three lessons that I felt were helpful were to engage with the audience, be enthusiastic, and not procrastinating. By engaging with the audience you not only get their attention but you get the into what you are presenting about. Being enthusiastic also helps grab your audiences attention because it shows that you're passionate about what you're talking about. The last thing was to not procrastinate on any of the work because that could help in the long run including knowing what exactly to present.
2. List one thing that you learned about the senior project in interviews that will help you get off to a good start?
One thing that I learned about senior project was to not procrastinate at all because if you do you'll have a hard time getting back on track and getting stuff done. Another thing is to look for really good sources and do a lot of mentorship so that you may gain a lot of experience.
3. What topic(s) are you considering, and why?
Some of the topics that I am thinking about are Baseball, Business, Teaching, and History. I'm thinking about baseball because I've loved the game since I was little and I'm really passionate about. Business would be something I would want to have a career in later on in the future. Teaching would kind of be my safe zone because of the fact that my mom is an elementary school teacher and so I understand how it is to teach and all the planning and work that has to be done as a teacher. History is just a subject and I really enjoy and have a passion for, it always interests me and is something I would like to get in depth about.
4. What EQ do you think might be interesting to consider in guiding a project like this? (Please don't worry about any sort of formula...we want this question to come from your genuine interest).
An EQ that might be interesting to consider when having a project like this would be how it deals with your topic and how you could implement it to the research and mentorship that you have done.
5. What are some ideas you have about finding summer mentorship?
Some ideas I have about finding summer mentorship is going to different places that would be willing to hire an intern like for business or teaching. Other ways could be going to different camps for baseball and help mentor the youth and work with the staff at the camps.
